AIRTEL SUPER SINGER SEASON 3: VOTING ACTIVITY (POLL) RULES
AIRTEL SUPER SINGER SEASON 3: VOTING ACTIVITY (POLL)' ("Poll")
will be held on VIJAY ("Channel") as stated hereunder:
  • 1. The Poll shall commence from September 14, 2011 at 22:00:00 hours and would be open till September 23rd during the LIVE performances. Time would be fixed only on the date of the airing.
  • 2. During the Poll, the Channel will telecast a Program titled "Airtel Super Singer Season 3" ("Program") everyday from September 14, 2011 at 21:00:00. Vijay Television Private Limited ("VTPL") and/or the Channel reserve the right to change the dates, the timings and days of the Program, without giving prior written intimation to the viewers.
  • 3. To participate in the Poll, the viewers must watch the Program. The viewers by participating in the Poll will get an opportunity to cast their vote for any contestant(s) named in Rule 4 and participating in an episode of the Program.
  • 4. The voting ID of the contestants is as follows:

  • 5. A viewer interested in casting their vote for their favorite contestant in an episode of the Program could follow either of the steps stated herein below:
    • 5.1 SMS-The viewer must SMS "SS XX" to 57827. SMS must contain SS followed by the numeric code (XX) of the contestant i.e. the numeric code that has been allotted to that contestant(s) as mentioned above
    • 5.2 Interactive Voice Response ("IVR")-Viewer (s) to participate via IVR must be the subscriber of Airtel Network and must call from their mobile only. The Airtel Subscriber shall dial 5432178 to vote for their favorite contestant.
    • 5.3 Log on to www.vijay.indya.com and follow the instructions stated on the website.
  • 6. The cost charged to the viewers by the operators (mobile operators for voters under category 5.1 and 5.2 will be as follows:
    • 6.1 For SMS: Each SMS shall be charged by the respective mobile operators at rate of Rs. 3/-.
    • 6.2 For IVR: Rs. 2/- per minute to subscribers of mobile network operators Airtel (Assessable only to Airtel Subscribers).
    • 6.3 The cost of each SMS or IVR or landline (as the case may be) shall be charged by the respective operators. Neither VTPL nor the Channel shall be responsible in case of any network problem and/or the costs charged by the mobile operator or breakdown of the machinery or any other default or problems which may occur due to the voting mechanism or any problems in connection thereto. VTPL shall not be responsible for any dispute in connection to the same and all disputes in this regard should be settled directly between the subscriber and the respective mobile/landline operator without involving VTPL and/or the Channel.
  • 7. Vote(s) sent after the time period stated as in herein above shall not be considered and shall be null and void.
  • 8. The votes(s) given by the viewer(s) for each of the contestant(s) participating in the episode of the Program, shall be added to the points that the contestant(s) has obtained from the judges in that episode(s) of the Program(s).
  • 9. The vote(s) shall help the contestant(s) to win the title of Super Singer 3 on the programme.. Irrespective of the polls received by the participant(s) from the viewers for the episode telecast on September 14, 2011, all the contestants shall be part of the episodes to be telecasted on September 14 to 23, 2011
  • 10. The maximum number of entries that a viewer can send casting their vote is as stated herein below:

In the event, a viewer sends more than 3 (three) entries casting his/her votes via the same e-mail id., the votes sent after the first 3 (three) e-mails shall not be counted and will be considered null and void.
  • 11. The votes(s) given by each of the viewer(s) for a particular contestant(s) participating in the Final episode of the Program, shall be added. The cumulative score that a particular contestant(s) has obtained through this Poll will be provided to the Judges so that viewer(s) view can be taken into consideration and thus help the Judges to make their decisions. However, though the votes sent by the viewers in this Poll shall be taken into consideration, the decisions shall be made by the Judges. The decisions of the Judges shall be final and binding.
  • 12. It is expressly stated that this is simply a Poll to enable the viewers to choose their favorite contestant(s). Therefore, there shall be no winners declared or Prizes distributed for this Poll.
PART B- GENERAL RULES
  • 1. VTPL or the Channel reserves all rights to make amendments to the existing rules without prior notice.
  • 2. The viewer interested in participating in the Poll must be above the age of 18 years and a resident of India.
  • 3. The voter(s) of the Poll agree that he/she shall hold harmless the Channel, VTPL, its employees, officers or any other person in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by him/her, in any manner, whatsoever in connection with the Poll and shall also not file in person/ through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against the sponsor and/or the Channel and/or VTPL to claim any damages or relief's.
  • 4. The Channel and/or VTPL is in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any injury, death, mental trauma caused to the voter in any manner whatsoever, in connection to the Poll.
  • 5. Employees of the Channel, VTPL, and the members of their immediate family, persons with criminal convictions, persons other than citizens of India, are ineligible to vote and be part of the Poll.
  • 6. The participation of the viewer(s) in the Poll shall mean that the viewer (s) has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the rules including the general rules of the Poll.
  • 7. The outcome of the Poll/the decision made by the Channel and/or VTPL regarding the Poll shall be final and binding on the viewers and in no event shall the viewer/voter dispute the decision made by VTPL, Channels and/or its employees in connection to the Poll.
  • 8. The terms of this rules and regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and incase of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Poll shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by VTPL and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language. The costs, charges and expenses in connection to arbitration shall be solely borne by the viewer(s) disputing. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding on the parties to the dispute.
